Going Home

Above the sharp greenery I ride
The smell of burnt wood creeps in through my open window,
Electric cables and white hats scattered in the distance
A lost duck quiescent, and a black cat chasing birds,
Just once…
I want to be the wind that grazes the tips of the tanbo.

Autumn Kiss

Under tumbling autumn leaves my reserved lips yearn warmth
——-

A cloud hanging, going nowhere,
I say goodbye to a thousand smiles
my heart swells
——-
Naked skin pressed against the bamboo
tight is her grip, heavy is her breath
as I come to rest deep within
——-
Metal and fake brick flicker
trapping the sunlight on the window
face after face, they all look the same

I’m impressed with your poetry “Going Home”.
The end of “そんな風になれたら” is very cool.

Hi there!, just came across your website and had fun reading some stuff! I am married to my japanese wife and will apply for a spousevisa next month. I am already rounding up everything here in Holland and am ready to give it a try in Japan. Spend some holidays there already cause of the long-dstance relationship we are in. She works in Yokohama and lives in Yokosuka, so who knows..maybe we can share a beer in the future! Cheers! Jacob

    Hi Jacob,

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog website and view some of the content material.

I’ve been living in Japan for almost two years now and I must say that Yokohama is a place I like to visit (I live in Chiba). I’ve never been to Yokosuka though, but hear it’s a nice place to live.

Good luck with the moving process, and welcome to Japan in advance. Take care and do keep in touch!

    Barry
